Chakras are an ancient energy system from India that provide a fascinating insight into physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of human behaviour and life experience.

A chakra is an energy centre where nadis, or energy lines on the body, come together at a meeting point to create an energy vortex.  While there are a number of different chakras, this course focuses on the seven primary chakras which in themselves contain a wealth of information that will give you a comprehensive framework of personal discovery and intriguing insights.

When you combine meditation with the chakras, you bring awareness to this area of your body and the qualities of the chakra that have relevance for you at this point in your life.  Including chakra awareness in your meditation can help you connect with yourself at a deeper level, taking you to a place of stillness, insight, and personal understanding.

This meditation course aims to teach you about the seven primary chakras and twenty associated crystals you can use as part of your meditation practice, while taking you on a journey of personal reflection.

  • a self-paced online course you can start at any time, or
  • an in-person course starting each July (NSW school term 3)

FAQ

  • Is this course suitable for beginners?

    Exploring the Chakras using Meditation focuses on providing information about each chakra, associated crystals, journaling questions for reflection and the guided meditation. It doesn't break down 'how to meditate' or lead-in with any shorter meditations. If you're new to meditation, you may prefer to start with our online course 'Developing Awareness through Meditation' which has been created with beginners in mind.

  • How long are the guided meditations?

    The guided meditations are approximately 25-30 minutes each.

  • Do I need to have any prior understanding of chakras?

    Not at all! Everything you need to know is included in this course.

  • Do I need to have my own crystals to do the course?

    No. You can do the course without any crystals at all. You'll receive information about crystals as part of the course but there are a number of meditation techniques you can use that don't involve crystals. You may, of course, choose to purchase crystals or use some you already own - that decision is up to you!

  • Will I lose access to the course material after the course?

    Ongoing access is available to all the content after the course has finished.

Kinesiologist, Meditation Teacher Gillian Drew

Gillian supports women in navigating, transitioning, and progressing through life change. Her variety of skills and experience in kinesiology, meditation teaching, projects, and information management enable her to effectively organise the practical aspects of change as well as compassionately guide and support someone through the emotions and stress that come with any life change.

In these classes we unpack the content further, review the chakras and crystals and their qualities, answer any questions you have, plus take you through a live-guided meditation.   You'll also learn a movement meditation based on the elements of the chakras.
